Steam Cleaning

Steam Cleaning –
Scientifically Proven, Highly Effective

At PGS, we use high-temperature steam technology to clean and disinfect effectively. According to reports from the WHO and US government, steam at 80°C (176°F) or higher can kill or deactivate viruses and bacteria within seconds.
Our cleaning system maintains a powerful disinfecting temperature of 137°C to 74°C at just 0 to 10 cm from the nozzle, ensuring maximum effectiveness in a short time.
Lab-Tested Results
Independent lab testing confirms that our system eliminates up to 100% of the following harmful microbes:

  • E. coli
  • Listeria monocytogenes
  • Salmonella
  • Staphylococcus aureus
  • Zygosaccharomyces bailii (a type of mold/yeast)
Even under difficult conditions (organic broth, stainless steel, plastic), over 99.9% were eliminated in just 8–32 seconds of cleaning.

Guidelines for Safe Indoor Operation

Using a steam machine indoors may activate fire detectors or sprinkler systems.

1. Fire Detector Activation Possibility
Even under difficult conditions (organic broth, stainless steel, plastic), over 99.9% were eliminated in just 8–32 seconds of cleaning.

Smoke Detectors :

Working in enclosed, non-ventilated spaces may cause the detector to react not only to smoke but also to dense water vapor (steam).
Photoelectric (optical sensor) detectors, in particular, tend to react more easily to steam than ionization-type detectors.
Special caution is needed when working in sealed spaces without windows or proper ventilation.

Heat Detectors :
These activate only when there is a sudden rise in ambient temperature. They typically do not respond to steam alone.
2. Sprinkler System Activation Possibility

Most sprinkler systems are triggered only when a specific temperature (usually around 68°C or higher) is reached. Normal steam use rarely reaches such temperatures, so they generally won’t activate unless the sprinkler head is directly heated.
